"You're a Star!" is a One Star StarParty pledge game.  

At your StarParty or school event, invite folks to pledge to help protect the night sky above their home, school, business or observing site. These folks truly are the STARS that will make a shining difference in starlight preservation and the reduction of light pollution.Assign each person who made a pledge the name of a star they are "protecting".

Give them a name badge with the star's name to wear during your event.  Stars, galaxies, and other Messier objects are assigned in the order of magnitude, BRIGHTEST first.   

The more teamwork -- and people who work together to "protect"  stars, the more stars appear in the sky-- (which is represented by various sized foam star stickers placed on a gigantic star chart at your event.)  

Materials recommended:

• Name badges: One Star name badge template available
• Star and messier list in order of magnitude
• Large star chart in banner size:  One Star template available
• Foam star stickers of variable sizes (to represent different magnitudes)
• Poster or Flyer: download available
